Moldovan, Latvian officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, 2 March /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca had a meeting with Speaker of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece on 1 March, on the occasion of the Interparliamentary Conference “Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine: Eastern Partnership and current security challenges”.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the deputy premier informed about the government’s priorities in European integration and promotion of the reforms provided by the Association Agreement, focusing on the justice reform, turning to good account the potential of the DCFTA and meeting the conditions on getting financial assistance.

Ināra Mūrniece reconfirmed Latvia’s willingness to further support Moldova’s transformation agenda and to share Latvia’s experience and expertise in the European integration process.
