Moldovan Democrats launch partnership project on building arena in capital

Chisinau, 13 March /MOLDPRES/- The Democratic Party of Moldova today launched a public-private partnership project, which will draw investments for the construction of a multifunctional arena in Chisinau. PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc made the statement at the end of the weekly meeting of the party.

“We will give the government all political support for this project and will back all projects that benefit citizens,” he said.

The state will provide necessary support for investors and will also have a share in the project.

The concept of arena which will be called “Chisinau Arena” was presented to journalists by Speaker Andrian Candu, who said that it will have a capacity of about 5,000 seats and will be able to host various events including concerts, conferences, exhibitions, sports events, training.

Candu added that the arena could be built in Stauceni and will cost between 30 and 50 million euros.
