Moldovan parliament approves extension of period of financing roads restoration works

Chisinau, 16 March /MOLDPRES/ - The period of financing works for restoring roads in Moldova will be extended till 31 December 2018.

The extension of the deadline for financing is provided for in the amendments No 1 and 2 to the Contract on financing between Moldova and the European Investment Bank (EIB) for carrying out the Project on restoration of roads from Moldova, ratified by the parliament today.

According to the authors, the implementation of this project will contribute to the improvement of the state and quality of roads, through cutting the costs of the road transport for the road users of Moldova and will improve the way of roads’ management.

The contract on financing between Moldova and EIB provides for the earmarking of financial means worth 75 million euros to finance roads’ restoration works.
