New financing programme for initiatives on promotion of green energy launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 April /MOLDPRES/ - The European Commission and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development will finance business ideas and initiatives on the promotion of green energy, within a contest held with the title, clim@. The deadline for submitting applications on participation and entering the competition is 15 April.    

The contest is launched globally for enterprises, start-ups with experience, non-governmental organizations, research institutions, etc, which are in the phase of testing or transfer of the newly created concept on market. The sectors concerned are the one of sustainable energy and efficiency of resources, with the first goals being cut in the carbon dioxide emissions and a better management of water, waste and recyclable materials.  

Clim@ provides financing for all models of business and concepts meant to enhance the degree of awareness, mobilizing new target groups to undertake measures with positive impact on the climate. The winner will receive a prize worth 15,000 euros, followed by 10,000 euros and 5,000 euros for the second and third positions.  

Fifteen applicants, among which also Moldova can be, will be selected to present their projects at an event due to take place in Frankfurt, Germany, within the Sustainable Future Forum. These applicants will enjoy professional guidance and mentoring. At the forum, three finalists will present their projects before potential sponsors and investors.

It is sponsored by the European Commission and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
