Seven families of rescuers get keys to service flats in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today handed the keys to service flats to families of rescuers. Another 47 rescuers will receive their dwellings till late 2019, when a new apartment block will be ready. The construction works were started today, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.   

The PM congratulated the rescuers on their professional day, recently marked, and thanked them for dedication with which they do their job. “Sometimes, people wonder how firemen enter a room in fire when all quit this room. The answer is simple – this means courage. Your children have their own hero at home. I am quite sure that they inspire from you and an equally worthy generation will grow up,” the prime minister said.     

Also, Pavel Filip stressed that the government would continue backing employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), including through strengthening the capacities and improving the labour conditions. The PM emphasized, in this context, the launch of the 112 Service, which will make interventions quicker and more efficient. At the same time, the prime minister highlighted the launch of the First Home programme, which will give young people possibility to buy a dwelling at home, as well as the extension of the project, so that the state should not only guarantee 50 per cent of the loan got, but also pay a half of the sum.  

“I want you to know that we are absolutely realistic people and we know that you expect concrete things from us. Today, seven families of rescuers will receive service flats. At the same time, it is a joy for me when I see constructions, as this means development. I want these dwellings meet you warmly daily when you return from work,” the PM added.   

The construction of dwellings for rescuers, placed on the Gheorghe Asachi Street from Chisinau, started based on a public-private partnership and will end in late 2019. The service flats will have one or two chambers and IGSU employees will be able to train in a modern sports hall on the block’s ground floor. Another two similar projects are to be carried out in the Chisinau and Balti municipalities.
