About 240,000 people cross Moldova's state border during small vacation

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/ - About 240,000 people have crossed Moldova’s state border on the period of mini-vacation.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the press officer of the Border Police, Raisa Novitchi, said that almost 119,000 out of all crossings had been enterings in Moldova and another 118,000 – exits.

“Over 131,000 persons who crossed the border of all the flow were Moldovans and almost 105,000 – foreign citizens,” Novitchi noted.

Raisa Novitchi also said that, on this period, the most transited border checkpoints had been: Leuseni (44,000 people), Chisinau International Airport (30,000), Otaci (27,000) and Sculeni (23,000). The number of crossings was lower than 20,000 at the other checkpoints,” Novitchi specified.

In 2018, under a cabinet decision, employees benefited from a mini-vacation on the period 28 April - 1 May.
