17:37 | 31.05.2018 Category: Economic

Chisinau, 31 May /MOLDPRES/ - A regulation on the conditions and procedure of providing subsidies in advance for start-up projects from the national fund for the development of agriculture and rural environment will be published in the 1 June issue of the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial).

Thus, agricultural producers beginners will receive in advance subsidies from the state, in order to carry out entrepreneurship projects. This year, authorities will earmark 45 million lei to this end.

The subsidies in advance will be provided based on investment projects submitted by farmers who carry out an economic activity in the agro-food sector for the first time ever and are not affiliated to another agricultural producer.

Agriculturists will be able to benefit from a one-off financial support worth 650,000 lei at the most. The subsidy will be provided in two installments. The first part will account for 75 per cent of the value of the subsidy and will be provided when the contract is signed and the second installment, of 25 per cent, will be transferred with the launch of the business, - a term which cannot exceed two years.

Thus, the authorities are set to create over 300 agricultural businesses and more than 500 new jobs in villages. At least five per cent will be annually allocated from the national fund for development of agriculture and rural environment to implement the system of providing subsidies in advance.
