List of compensated medicines extended in Moldova

Chisinau, 22 June /MOLDPRES/ - Insured people starting from today will benefit from more compensated medicines. The list of compensated medicines from the mandatory health insurances funds (AOAM) was extended by 11 common international names.    

Data by the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM) shows that two preparations for the treatment of diabetes and glaucoma, which will be fully compensated, have been included in the list.

More new medicines will be compensated by an average rate of 70 per cent. They are meant for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases: telmisartanum - in case of patients with diabetes; nebivololum - for hypertensive patients with heart insufficiency, older than 65; perindoprilum – for hypertensive patients with ischemic heart disease and heart attack; carvedilolum – for patients with stable angina pectoris, heart insufficiency.    

Two new preparations for the episodic treatment in day hospitals are to be compensated too. It is about pantoprazolum for gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and  pregabalinum for the episodic treatment of diabetic neuropathy. For adults, the concerned medicines will be compensated partially, with an average rate of 70 per cent. Children will benefit from full compensation of these preparations’ costs.    

Another medicine included in the list, aceclofenacum, for the chronic treatment of the rheumatic arthritis, osteoarthritis will be compensated by an average of 50 per cent.

Lercanidipinum for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in case of hypertensive patients with intolerance to amplodipinum and salmeterol for obstructive chronic bronchopneumopathy and bronchial asthma will be compensated by 30 per cent on average.  

At the same time, three international common names of medicines, which so far have been prescribed in the episodic treatment, organized in treatment room/day hospital, will be prescribed for long-lasting treatment.
