Chisinau, 26 June /MOLDPRES/ - The mayoralty of the southern Taraclia town sets more video cameras on streets of the settlement. The works are part of a project titled, Oraşul securizat (Secured Town) and are to be completed till the end of this week.

The video cameras will be put in places with intense traffic and crowded places, at central crossroads, nearby parks, infrastructure objects, playgrounds for children and sports grounds, etc.

„The goal of this project consists in strengthening public security actions in the city, improving measures to observe the public order and diminish the crime rate, with the help of modern technical means,” the Taraclia town mayor, Serghei Filipov said, cited by www.gagauzinfo.md.

The cameras will work in non-stop regime and the information is to be directed to operators of the Taraclia Police Inspectorate.

According to the mayoralty, the project Secured Town is financed from the local budget; high-tech cameras are set, which work in various natural conditions and at anomalous temperatures. Also, the town is scheduled to be supplied with an intelligent digital programme, due to identify and inform about eventual fires, gas or smoke emissions.
