Chisinau, 10 July /MOLDPRES/ - The business incubators from Cahul, Calarasi and Cimislia settlements will benefit from a Working Capital for facilitating access to financing of entrepreneurs residents, in form of preferential loan, with no interests and commissions.

The Working Capital is an instrument of development of entrepreneurs residents, from which all Business Incubators benefit, that are members of the Network of Business Incubators from Moldova (RIAM). The providing of loans from the working capital’s financial means, which amount to 300,000 lei for each incubator, is made within the limit of the sources available and does not represent an obligation of the Business Incubator before residents.

The Working Capital’s money can be allocated to residents for a period due not to exceed three years. The size of the loan provided through the working capital to one resident will not exceed 20 per cent of the working capital’s size or 60,000 lei, provided for the entire period of incubation.

To optimize the process of informing and consulting small and medium-sized enterprises (IMM), a Help Desk will be created at each Business Incubator, similar to the one existing at the Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM). The implementation of this initiative will be possible due to support provided by the World Bank.

"These Centres will provide consultancy services on the initiation, development and extending the business, will provide information on state programmes for the IMM sector and the current financing sources, depending on the kind of activity. They will also provide specialized assistance for the compilation of business plans and strategies for start-up, as well as consolidation and developing the present businesses,” the ODIMM acting director general, Petru Gurgunov, said.

At present, 202 resident companies carry out their activity at those 11 Business Incubators, RIAM members, of which 104 are start-up, 113 are managed by young people and 98 companied are managed by women. In all, 918 jobs have been created, of which 439 for women and 385 are occupied by young people.

The Network of Business Incubators from Moldova was set up by ODIMM, with the support of the European Union, in 2013. Currently, the network includes 11 incubators: Stefan Voda, Dubasari, Leova, Ceadar-Lunga, Rezina, Nisporeni, Sangerei, Soroca, Cimislia, Cahul and Calarasi.
