Kindergarten restored in central Moldova town with Romania's support

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ - A restored kindergarten today was inaugurated in the Hansca village, central Ialoveni district. The pre-school institution was modernized within a programme on technical and financial assistance provided by the Romania’s government to pre-school institutions of Moldova.    

Attending the event were Education, Culture and Research Ministry Monica Babuc and Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita.

Minister Monica Babuc thanked the Romanian government for the support provided for Moldova to restore and endow kindergartens, as well as the local community for the receptiveness and responsibility proved. “I am glad to find out that you get involved in the process of creating friendly conditions for the education of these wonderful children. I am firmly sure that, only by acting together, we can contribute to their physical, emotional, cognitive and social development – indispensable factors for the education of future active citizens,” Babuc said.  

For his part, Ambassador Daniel Ionita said that, through the today’s event, a part of Europe had been brought to the Hansca settlement. “To look into future with confidence, it is essential that we invest sustainably in education, especially for the young generation. We want to bring our contribution to the institutional consolidation of Moldova through our cooperation,” Ionita said.   

As much as 4.1 million lei was allocated for the repair of the kindergarten from the Hansca village, of which 3.4 million lei was provided by the government of Romania and about 700,000 lei – by the local public authorities. Works of capital repair of the roof have been carried out, new doors and windows were set, the heating and ventilation system, as well as the ones of water and sewerage were repaired with this money. At the same time, the institution’s nourishment unit was arranged and endowed. A thermal station which provides heating both the gymnasium and the kindergarten of the settlement was build within the same programme.  

Presently, the Hansca kindergarten has two groups and is attended by 70 children. There are 128 children of pre-school age in the village.

Romania has allocated 26 million euros for the restoration and endowment of kindergartens from Moldova, through the programme on technical and financial assistance provided by the government of Romania to pre-school institutions from Moldova. As many as 845 kindergartens have benefited from these funds, through 940 projects managed by the Social Investments Fund of Moldova.
