People working after retirement to get higher pensions in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 July /MOLDPRES/ - Pensioners will have right to the re-examination of pensions as of 1 January 2019. The parliament passed a draft on the amendment and completion of legislative acts to this end in the first reading today.   

The person will be able to demand the pension’s re-examination a single time, with the pension’s quantum due to be higher than the size of the pension he/she receives at present.

The examination of age limit pensions, set till 1 January 2019, will be made in stages, according to the length of pensionable service accumulated after the fulfillment of the right to pension. Thus, starting from 1 January 2019, the pensions established till 1 January 1999 will be re-examined, with the length of pensionable service after the fulfillment of the right to pension up to 15 years. Subsequently, beginning with 1 January 2021, the pensions set after 1 January 1999 till 1 January 2019 will be re-examined, with a length of pensionable service after the fulfillment of the right to pension beginning with 15 years.

At the same time, in the next years, the term of the length of pensionable service after the pension will annually decrease by three years.
