The concerned subject was discussed at a meeting of Economics and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici with decision-makers of the State Roads’ Administration (ASD) and economic agents involved in restoring roads.

According to the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, the participants in the meeting discussed the optimization of repair works, ensuring the durability of the segments repaired and identifying solutions to include more road segments in the project. “During time, road segments which were not planned have appeared, but which are important for settlements. Together, we should find solutions,” Chiril Gaburici said.

Reports on the carrying out of the process of repair and construction of roads planned were unveiled during discussions. Minister Chiril Gaburici highlighted the proper carrying out of the works. “The priority is to carry out the repair works at a high level of quality and in the terms set. This is the first year when we invest so much in roads’ infrastructure and we are willing to continue this project, so that we have good roads in each settlement of Moldova,” the economics and infrastructure minister reiterated.

The Good Roads for Moldova programme provides for the restoration of about 1,200 km of roads in 1,200 settlements. The sum of investments will be about 1.6 billion lei, which will be allocated from the road fund and the state budget.
