Twenty three settlements of Moldova receive new ambulances

Chisinau, 17 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 23 new ambulances, out of those 69 purchased in early 2018, today were distributed to sub-stations and emergency medical assistance points of 23 settlements from all over Moldova.  

Ambulances will reach Soroca, Vulcanesti, Molovata (Cosnita) of the eastern Dubasari district, Nemteni, Bobeica and Carpineni (central Hancesti district), Bardar (Ialoveni district), Susleni (Orhei district), Lozova (Straseni district), Lipcani (north-western Briceni district) Pelinia (northern Drochia district), Branzeni and Cupcini (Edinet district), Risipeni and Glingeni (Falesti district), Sturzovca (Glodeni district), Saptebani (Rascani district), Badiceni (Soroca district), Gavanoasa (southern Cahul district), Iargara (Leova district), Valea Perjii (Taraclia district), Baurci, Cazaclia (Ceadar-Lunga district).

According to the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry, the transport units meet all international standards in the field and the medical equipment allows providing emergency medical assistance at the highest level.

The rest of the ambulances will be brought to Moldova till late July.

„This year, we are set to replace about 70 per cent of the old ambulances we have in Moldova now,” Health, Labour and Social Protection Minister Svetlana Cebotari said.

The government has recently signed an agreement on loan with the Council of Europe’s Development Bank worth 12 million euros for the purchasing of 170 ambulances. By this procurement, along with the other ambulances already brought, about 70 per cent of the ambulances from the motor vehicle fleet will be changed.
