American expert conducts training courses for employees of fiscal service in Moldova

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ – A joint team of national and international experts led by US Treasury Counselor Thomas Mathews conducts training in communication taxpayers with employees of State Tax Service (SFS).

The courses with generic: "Atitudine și comportament" (Attitude and Behaviour) are organised in all specialised subdivisions of SFS. According to an institution press release, within training course, there are studied principles underlying communication with taxpayers, ethics in their service, practical methods towards taxpayers which accumulate debts to budget and rules of non-verbal communication.

During 2018, over 150 employees of SFS have benefited from practical training courses guided by the US Treasury expert delegated to SFS for a 3-year term. Subsequently, all subdivisions of service and management of SFS will benefit from such training.

Thomas Mathews has been in Moldova for one year and a half to support SFS in implementing the World Bank-funded Fiscal Management Modernisation Project.
