Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - The first multifunctional centre of the Public Services Agency (ASP) in Moldova’s south-eastern region was opened in the Causeni town on 18 July. The institution will work according to the principle of single window.

Attending the inauguration event, ASP director Sergiu Railean said that the opening of multifunctional centres represented just the first phase of the public services’ reform, which is a priority for the present governance. “While last year, the citizen was getting married, was divorcing and was coming to the Registru enterprise, was sent to the Registrar’s Office to bring confirmation acts, now he/she come a single time, does not present these documents and, in the end, saves time and money,” Sergiu Railean noted.

The building is placed in the central zone of the town in a room of 380 square metres, which was restored and turned into a modern building which provides the citizens with the comfort of an open space. Seventeen operators will provide the servicing of citizens at the highest level, so that about 90,000 residents of the Causeni district in a single place may ask for services of residents’ documentation and record, registration and licencing of law-enforcement units, registration of vehicles, registration of real estate and titles to them.

„I am glad that we have this centre in Causeni, which will allow us being closer to the district’s citizens. At the same time, due to the Public Services Agency, we have managed to modernize the district centre, as an old building not corresponding norms has become an occasion of pride,” the Causeni district head, Nicolae Gorban, said.

The multifunctional centre from Causeni will provide more than 1,000 services, according to the principle of single window and electronic queue. The institution’s employees said that the applicants would have to wait in queue about 15 minutes; yet, the Centre’s services can be accessed online as well.
