Drector of Moldova's Investments Agency introduced to institution's employees

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip today introduced the director of the Investments Agency, Rodica Verbeniuc, to the institution’s employees, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.     

The PM wished the Agency’s head success in the professional work, noting that more efforts are to be made to ensure the functionality of the authority, which merged key sectors for the economy’s development. In the context, the prime minister referred to the Agency’s powers following its reorganization. Filip specified that, in its new structure, the institution would contribute to a more efficient promotion of tourist services and of Moldova as an attractive destination for investors.    

„I think that now we have what to tell investors. Moldova has become more attractive for investments; yet, in continuation, a huge work comes, just as it happens each time when we have to edify something,” the prime minister said.   

For her part, Rodica Verbeniuc thanked for the confidence given, reiterating the strategic role the government ascribes to the Investments Agency and the business community: “The government works to crate the needed conditions and opportunities for persuading and attracting investors. We are to use these instruments as efficiently as possible.”  

The director of the Investments Agency graduated from the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and has a vast experience in an international mobile telephony company.    

The creation of the Investments Agency was approved in last April, through the merger of the Investments Attraction and Export Promotion Organization from Moldova and the Tourism Agency.
