Moldovan deputy PM has meeting with ambassador of Germany

Chisinau, 19 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic today had a farewell meeting with Ambassador of Germany to Moldova Julia Monar, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

Cristina Lesnic highly appreciated the work of the German diplomat, noting that, although the ambassador had acted in office a short period, she had a prodigious activity. It is worth mentioning that Julia Monar is to get to a new office in Berlin in the near future.

During the discussions, Cristina Lesnic thanked for the ambassador’s professionalism and human qualities.

In the same context, the deputy prime minister for reintegration praised the support for Moldova’s efforts on the way of advancement of the dialogue on the Transnistrian settlement, especially starting from Germany’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2016 till present.  

Julia Monar stressed that, in her mandate, she fully managed to keep a close eye on the things which advanced on the Transnistrian file. The ambassador gave assurances that she would continue to be acquainted with the developments due to follow.

Also, the German diplomat assured that these developments were regarded with much interest and positivism, appreciating the dynamic and pace which are manifested in an unprecedented potential and intensity. At the same time, the ambassador of Germany said that she was sure that things must continue with the same pace and energy, as real chances would thus be provided for the settlement of problems of the residents from both banks of Dniester.    

The two officials emphasized that the successor of the diplomat would soon come to Chisinau and would continue the activities started.
