Taxes for processing succession acts to be cut in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 July /MOLDPRES/ - The taxes for notary services for processing succession acts will be cut. The parliament today adopted a law to this effect in two readings.  

The draft was worked out by a group of MPs, in order to reduce the costs borne by citizens who are to process their succession acts and register the documents on ownership over real estate, based on the certificate of inheritance.  

The document sees that the tax for the issuance of the certificate of inheritance for real estate from rural settlements, except for farmlands and lands on which no buildings are placed, will be of 150 lei.

According to the draft’s authors, the approval of the amendments proposed will allow a 2.5-fold cut in the costs related to the processing of succession acts and registration of the right of ownership over real estate against the present costs.   

So far, a payment has been set for the issuance of the certificate of inheritance, which was equivalent to a certain per cent of the value of the inherited asset.
