Chisinau, 21 July /MOLDPRES/ - Disciples of a kindergarten from southern Ceadar-Lunga town had a less usual lesson on professional orientation this week. A visit to the field of a local farm was organized for children, where they could see the harvesting process.

The Field Lesson for children of pre-school age was organized by the association of farmers from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia for the first time ever.

According to the executive director of the association, Ivan Screli, the goal of the activity is to cultivate in children of early age love for work on the land, prompting them to choose a profession in the farming sector in the long run.

“We have an agreement with the kindergarten’s management and, with support of an agricultural enterprise from the settlement, the children had possibility to go to field and see a real harvesting campaign. I told the small children how the wheat is harvested, how flour is made and, in the end, how bread reaches their tables. Namely such actions arouse emotions in children, cultivate in them love for professions in the agricultural sector. The children were quite contented with this experience,” Ivan Screli told the website www.gagauzinfo.md.

According to the quoted source, this practice will be followed also in other pre-school institutions from Ceadar-Lunga and children will be able to see diverse agricultural works on the spot.
