Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/- Authorities have identified several best solutions to complete the construction of the aqueduct in Falesti by late 2018. The work plan was examined yesterday at an extended meeting to the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.

“On 7 September, the government decided to redistribute some allowances between programs approved by the ministry. The goal is to solve problems related to the completion of construction of the aqueduct to Falesti. This project is included in the Single Programming Document for 2017-2020. Optimal solutions are required to make it effective, and each to fulfill duties and responsibilities," Minister Liviu Volconovici said.

According to representatives of the subdivision responsible for regional development policy of the ministry, the work required to complete the project is about 35.5 million lei. Of the total amount, about 14.5 million lei were paid from the National Fund for Regional Development and another 21 million lei will be transferred by the end of this year.

“The goal of the project is to provide Faleseti people and five localities in Glodeni and Ungheni districts with drinking water and sanitation. Solving these problems will contribute to the economic development of the North Region, will protect the environment and improve quality of life in the region," Dorin Andros, State Secretary of MADRM, responsible for regional and rural development, said.

The works in Falesti are being carried out within a project launched by North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord) in 2017. Sources in ADR Nord said that in Falesti the worst situation is observed on drinking water quality. In the village of Risipeni, there are not enough water reserves in the mine wells, the inhabitants being forced to travel long distances to carry drinking water.
