Estonia backs project in rural entrepreneurship sector in northern Moldova

Chisinau, 19 September /MOLDPRES/ - More young people and entrepreneurs from the North Development Region on 18 September participated in a training session held by experts from Estonia. The participants were able to learn about Estonia’s experience in the rural entrepreneurship sector, product’s development and marketing.     

The forum was divided into two sessions, during which lecturers from the Institute of Economy and Social Sciences of the Tartu University unveiled useful information in the marketing sector. At the same time, online marketing workshops were organized. “We want to strengthen the capacities of entrepreneurs and young people from rural regions by improving the abilities and professional competences in the field of development and promotion of product,” Estonian expert Tiiu Ohrvil said.    

„The development of the rural entrepreneurship means new jobs and more opportunities for young entrepreneurs, as well as for all those willing to develop business in our region. We are interested in Estonia’s experience in this field,” the head of the cooperation and investments attraction section at the North Regional Development Agency, Maria Prisacari, said.  

The event held in Balti started a new Moldovan-Estonian project implemented by the North Regional Development Agency (ASDR Nord), in partnership with the Institute of Economy and Social Sciences of the Tartu University.

The project, Cycle of Manuals for Entrepreneurs and Young Moldovans in the Rural Environment. Manual 3 – Development of Product and Marketing, is financed by the Estonian Foreign Affairs Ministry from cooperation funds for development and humanitarian assistance. The programme has a budget of 51,535 euros and sees working out of a textbook about the development of product and marketing.
