European integration remains only sustainable development plan of Moldova - PM says

Chisinau, 28 September /MOLDPRES/- On the sidelines of visit to New York while attending the UN General Assembly meeting, Prime Minister Pavel Filip met Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations for Enlargement, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The officials exchanged views on the implementation of the EU-Moldova Association Agreement, and set out the priorities of the European reform agenda of the government.

“Despite speculation about the country's political vector, European integration remains the only sustainable development plan of Moldova," Filip said. The premier also referred to the actions taken by the government to ensure economic growth, banking sector stability and judicial reform.

In another context, Filip said that the government will ensure all necessary conditions so that the parliamentary elections in Moldova are free, fair and transparent.
