Artists from eight countries to participate in Two Twin Hearts international festival in Moldova

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/ - Young singers from Moldova, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Vietnam will participate in the 16th issue of the International Light Music Festival, Two Twin Hearts. In Memory of Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici, due in Chisinau on 13-15 November.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the festival’s director, Eugenia Marin, said that 43 singers participated in the 2018 issue of the festival, of whom 18 in the section of children and 25 – in the one of adults.   

According to Marin, the contest will take place, as usually, at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre on 13-14 November and the Laureates Gala – at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace on 15 November. The participants in the festival will compulsorily sing a song by departed composer Ion Aldea-Teodorovici in the Romanian language and another one, at will, in the language of the country they are coming from. The winners will be appointed by an international jury, made up of 12 persons.     

A memory dinner, occasioned by the 60th birthday anniversary of Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, will take place at the grave of the two artists at the Central Orthodox Cemetery on the Armeneasca Street from Chisinau on 15 November at 12:00. The Laureates Gala of the Two Twin Hearts festival will be held at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace on the same day in the evening. The holders of the Grand Prize of the 15th issue of the festival, Erica Musteata (Moldova) and Ro Ong Ho Thoai (Vietnam), children’s band Lollipops, Nicolae Caragea, Erika, Semion Limanov (Russia) and Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici& Orchestra will give recitals at the event.

The International Light Music Festival, Two Twin Hearts. In Memory of Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici, was initiated in 2003. The holder of the first issue’s Trophy was singer Pasa Parfeni. At the 2016 issue of the festival, Mihaela Stratan from Moldova got the Grand Prize in children’s section and Yordan Markov from Bulgaria received this prize in the adults’ section.
