Chisinau, 22 November /MOLDPRES/ – The Coordinating Council for Informational Security (CCASI) will be established in Moldova. The measure is stipulated in the Info Security Strategy (SSI) for 2019 – 2024 and the Action Plan for its implementation, adopted by the Parliament today.

The Council will have consultative and operational responsibilities and ensure system integration of info space components.

The strategy, structured in 7 chapters and 117 points, integrates the priority areas with info security assurance responsibilities. The document identifies the problems faced by Moldova: the increase in cyber crimes and violations, the number of cyber attacks, and the shortage of competent human resources.

According to the authors, one of the major problems is the lack of an integrated cyber security management system (CERT), in which there are identified vulnerabilities and risks.

The special attention is paid to the security component of the mass media space. There are proposed solutions to counteract the misinfo and manipulation of info, which directly threatens the security of info space.

According to the authors, the implementation of the provisions of the strategy' will increase the level of protection and security in the info space and related expenditures will be covered by public, private and external financial means.
