Moldovans residing abroad to be entitled to pension

Chisinau, 14 December /MOLDPRES/- The promulgation decree and the law saying that Moldovans living abroad will be entitled to a pension in Moldova have been published in the Official Journal of Moldova.

The amendments to the legislation see that people who have established their residence in a state with which Moldova has not concluded a social insurance agreement will be able to submit the application for retirement and the necessary documents to the territorial social insurance body from the last residence in Moldova.

However, people who will determine their pension rights will be required to confirm the right once in 12 months. The procedure may be performed at the diplomatic missions of Moldova, located abroad.

The new provisions will enter into force on 1 January 2019.
