Chisinau, 24 July /MOLDPRES/ – The Commission of investigation to analise how to organise and conduct privatisation and concession of public property (2013 – 2019) has announced the selection of a company that will outsource its privatisation and concession contracts.

According to a press release, the company was selected following a procurement competition of the Parliament of Moldova.

The Commission welcomed the winner of the outsourced contest, trained it on the elements of specification, established a framework for collaboration and how it would work to hear key witnesses when assessing and analising a contract underlying concession or privatisation. The Consultant will be in the Commission's service until it is completed the report and presented to Parliament.

Another topic discussed by the Commission of Inquiry was how it can be published the privatisation/concession contracts on privatisations without prejudice to commercial secrecy – a special clause in all the contracts examined so far.

The chairman of the Investigation Commission, Igor Munteanu, said he had asked the embassy of Germany in Chisinau to assist in the investigation of the selected files. Today, members of the Commission will meet an embassy expert, Stephen Hulshorster, a senior prosecutor in Germany – Cornelia Gadigk and Detlev Kreutzer – head of the German economic crime investigation section.

Igor Munteanu has stated that the list of privatisation cases will be extended by including other objectives that are of interest to the citizens and parties represented in Parliament.

At the end of the hearing on Tuesday, 23 July, the Commission heard legal consultant, Sergiu Sloninov, who offered assistance and testimonials on how there were privatised the bus stations in Moldova.
