Deadline for submitting acts for registration of candidates in elections expires in Moldova on 19 September

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/ - The deadline for submitting acts for the registration of candidates for the office of mayor or local councilor expires on 19 September 2019.

At the same time, 19 September this year is the last day on which the candidates for the MP seat can be nominated in those four uninominal electoral districts, where new parliamentary polls will be held.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the work of the initiative groups for backing the candidates for the MPs seat and the deadline for the collection of signatures will expire on this day too. Subsequently, the district electoral council in a seven-day term at the latest will consider the documents submitted and will adopt a decision on the registration or refusal to register the candidates in the polls.

The general local elections will take place on 20 October 2019. Concomitantly with this ballot, new parliamentary polls will be held in four uninominal districts.
