Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - The leaders of the ACUM bloc, at a today’s news conference, informed that they did not want the downfall of the cabinet; yet, they said that they were not ready to make comprises in terms of justice reform. On this ground, they will propose to the Socialists to vote in parliament in two readings the draft approved by the government through taking responsibility on 6 November.

The head of the Dignity and Truth Platform’s parliamentary faction, Alexandru Slusari, said that the ACUM bloc’s factions had informed President Igor Dodon, with whom they had a meeting, about a proposal to overcome the political crisis. “It is about the voting in two reading of the document for which the Sandu Government took responsibility. The justice reform is important for us, as the rest makes no sense without it,” Slusari noted.

He reiterated that the ACUM bloc’s lawmakers did not want snap elections; yet, they cannot make compromises as to the justice reform. “We want to preserve this majority, but not at any price. The ball is now in the field of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) and the president. We had naivety to think that the system can be cleaned and made reforms with white gloves. We have to apply less traditional ways,” Slusari said.

Today morning, the PSRM faction’s MPs broke the political agreement signed between the two formations. The Socialists said that, at the parliament meeting, they would file a motion of censure against the government led by Maia Sandu, if it does not withdraw the draft amending the rules of the prosecutor general’s appointment.
