New social service for mothers, children to be launched in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - A new social service meant for mothers and children was launched in Chisinau today. Thus, a day section for the care of children aged from four months to three years was set at the headquarters of the placement and rehabilitation centre for small children.  

The new service is free of charge and children with ages between four months and three years can benefit from it, whose parents are employed and have no alternatives of care and supervising their children during the day. To benefit from the service, parents must have the residence visas in Moldova’s districts and temporarily stay in the Chisinau municipality.  

The capacity of the social crèche is of 12 places. The deputy head physician of the centre of placement and rehabilitation of small children, Eleonora Sincarenco, said that the parents and their children would benefit from more services, such as education, care, consultations of physicians specialists.  

The service was developed by the public association, CCF Moldova/HHC, in cooperation with the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry and the financial support of a company.  

Starting from 2011 till present, CCF Moldova has developed six crèches in the Chisinau, Balti municipalities and Glodeni town, from the services of which about 230 children benefited.
