Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will be moved to a new headquarters, and the current building could be transformed into a museum. At the same time, the services provided by the institution will be digitized. The proposals were announced today by Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban, who chaired his first weekly meeting of the City Hall services.
"I want to make an announcement from the beginning. We all from the city hall will probably leave this building soon. Our idea is to leave in an open workspace, in a corporate format, where we will sit side by side, with cameras, so that people can see what we are dealing with every day,” he said.
The mayor proposed that the current city hall building be restored and transformed into a children's science museum. "I ask the Finance Department to plan a discussion in this regard to have some financial resources for next year to restore this cultural heritage. One of the ideas would be to leave here the protocol room and the mayor's office, for tradition, and this building will be turned into a science museum for children, and we are still discussing, ” he said.
Another initiative launched by Ceban aims to digitize the City Hall's services. "In a short time, no more than a year, the city hall is going to be digitized: starting with the electronic single window and ending with many other services that need to be digitized", he said.
