United States to back all projects Moldovan cabinet's leadership is to carry out for citizens' benefit

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu met Ambassador of the United States to Moldova at the government today. The PM gave assurances as to the current cabinet’s firm commitment to deepen the bilateral relation and for boosting the commercial and economic cooperation with the USA, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

„I want to reaffirm our commitments to fulfill the action plan provided for in the Association Agreement with the European Union and till later this week, we will enforce a string of measures meant to improve the citizens’ living,” Ion Chicu said.

The prime minister thanked the ambassador for the openness proved by the government of the United States in relation with Moldova, as well as for the valuable support provided to implement the democratic reforms. At the same time, PM Ion Chicu said that the institution he leads would make all needed efforts to fulfill the desiderata of Moldova’s citizens in the nearest time.  

For his part, U.S. Ambassador Dereck J. Hogan reiterated the United States’ support for all projects the government’s leadership is to implement for the citizens’ benefit.

„I am glad to see you in this new capacity and I hope that together we will carry out nice and useful things for Moldova, especially as regards the promotion of reforms in all sectors,” Dereck J. Hogan said.
