Moldovan medical institutions to work in usual regime on winter holidays' period

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - All medical institutions will work in usual regime on the winter holidays’ period and will provide medical assistance to residents in full volume. The Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry made statements to this effect today. 

According to the ministry, on 25 December 2019, 1 January and the period 4-8 January 2020, the administration of medical institution will nominate the medical staff on guard and the people responsible from the institution’s management, through complementary working schedule.  

At the same time, the needed reserves of medicines, consumable things, food and oil products will be supplied for the uninterrupted work of the medical institutions on the aforementioned days.    

The National Blood Transfusion Centre will provide the medical and sanitary institutions with needed reserves of blood and blood derivatives and the Forensic Medicine Centre will provide medical and forensic assistance in usual regime.   

The Medicines and Medical Devices Agency, through the subordinated structures, will reserve medicines, consumable things and will organize their reception by the public medical and sanitary institutions, if necessary.   

The public sector employees have day-off on 25 December, when the new-style Christmas is marked. At the same time, the first day of the New Year will be a day-off as well. The public sector employees will also have a five-day mini-vacation on the period 4-8 January 2020, on the occasion of the old-style Christmas.
