Moldovan government to provide business people every support to make progress

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today went to the Vulcanesti Free Economic Zone (FEZ), where he visited two resident companies: Terra Impex and Altix Impex, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The Terra Impex enterprise produces metal nets for constructions and has been worked for seven years. Two hundred employees, who earn a salary worth 6,000 lei, on average, per month, work at this enterprise. The enterprise exports products to over 15 countries, most of them to EU. The value of the investments amounted to 3.5 million dollars and the volume of sales was estimated at about 88 million lei in 2019.  

The second company, Altix Impex, is specialized in the processing of cereals; it is a developing enterprise and has only 12 employees. The factory is unique, due to its equipment, which allows the production of starch from peas. The production capacity is of two tons per hour. Most production is exported to Asian countries. The economic agent plans to extend its sales to the USA and EU. The value of the current investments is of about 700,000 dollars and the volume of sales amounted to about 11 million lei in 2019.      

The PM visited the factory’s production sections and showed interest in the difficulties faced and how the government can contribute to overcome them.

„FEZ Vulcanesti has a big potential. We are ready to provide business people with every support of the government, in order to make progress. The companies are export-oriented and this is important. There are some problems, such as the insufficiently of labour force, management of industrial waste, etc. That is why, I have come here – to jointly identify solutions. We will not work only in offices; we will be directly connected to the real situation. And I think that this approach is correct,” the prime minister said.
