Ion Chicu appreciated the work carried out by the MADRM team for the development of an important branch of the national economy. ”We must bring the agricultural sector to a normal work. In a quite short period, 49 people left the ministry. This was a big mistake. It is necessary to recruit the best specialists, remove the fiscal deficiencies, so that a single quota of value added tax (VAT) is on the chain. We should prompt massive investments in irrigation. Although we are country still agrarian, to a great extent, we are not able to supply ourselves. We rely on import,” the prime minister said.

The PM called on specialists to submit files for the position of MADRM state secretary in charge of the environment.

In the context, the prime minister noted that Moldova was facing a disaster in the environment sector. “All fields are full of plastic and polyethylene. We must undertake urgent measures in the field of collection and processing of waste. Please, make an inventorying of the woods and start campaigns of planting forest belts,” Ion Chicu said.
