Moldovan PM visits art school in Basarabeasca city

Chisinau, 5 March /MOLDPRES/- Prime Minister Ion Chicu, accompanied by head of Basarabeasca district, visited the art school today. The institution, put into operation 45 years ago, has never been repaired. Currently, the 157 children are doing their lessons in different buildings and even localities, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Chicu had a discussion with school headmaster to find out in detail the problems faced by the institution and how the team of teachers is managing to solve them. There was mentioned the lack of teachers, the need for a choreography hall, a concert hall and a workshop for engraving.

Chicu promised that jointly with local authorities, the possibilities of identifying funds will be examined to support the institution's revival and creation of better conditions for pupils and teachers.
