Moldovan public sector employees come to work in special regime as of 4 May

Chisinau, 30 April /MOLDPRES/ - The authorities ruled that the public sector units from Moldova would resume working as of 4 May according to the special regime of work and remuneration, in line with the instructions by the Moldovan Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE).
According to the CSE’s Instruction No 24 from 29 April, the strictly needed staff will be attracted to work, whose activity requires compulsory presence at the work. Also, under the document, the staff whose activity does not require the obligatory presence at the working place, but can work at distance, will carry out the activity at home.
„During the carrying out of the working activity at home, employees fulfill their duties specific to the position they hold. The employer has right to check the activity of the employee who works at home. The concrete way of carrying out the control will be mutually agreed upon by means of electronic communication. The salary’s calculation will be made in full quantum according to the law on the single system of salary payment in the public sector,’’ the Instruction reads.
At the same time, the Commission for Emergency Situations ruled to fully or partially provide the unused rest leave or additional rest leave to the personnel who does not fit into the aforementioned situations.
More public sector employees had a forced vacation, caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, beginning from 28 March, which was periodically extended till the end of this week.
