Red code in health to be maintained after 15 May

Chisinau, 8 May /MOLDPRES/- The red code in health will be maintained after the state of emergency. Citizens must continue to comply with a number of restrictions, as the virus will not go away after 15 May. Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu made the statement today.

Cessation of the state of emergency does not in any way mean the end of the epidemic. "Citizens must continue to follow the recommendations of epidemiologists. The ministry is currently working out a plan to combat COVID-19 infection, which will comprise measures for citizens and businesses and employees in healthcare. "

Dumbraveanu noted that although in Moldova there is a lower rate of contagion than in other states, citizens will still have to respect social distance and other rules indicated by specialists.

According to data presented today by MSMPS, 4,605 cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in the country so far, of which 574 on the left bank of the Dniester. Of them, over 1,126 are employees of the medical system.
