Chisinau, 15 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration  Cristina Lesnic today and a meeting with Head of the OSCE Mission in Moldova Claus Neukirch. The officials brought for discussion the dynamic in the process of negotiations and a string of other subjects, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.

Cristina Lesnic informed about her recent visit to the Hagimus settlement, eastern Causeni district, a visit of her colleagues to the Corjova village, eastern Dubasari district, as well as about the difficulties faced by the residents from the Security Zone.

„The discussions’ agenda constantly contains the issue of removing the Transnistrians’ illegal posts, set during the pandemic. Thus, the general assessment of the situation shows that the positive capital accumulated in the Transnistrian settlement issue during time has been eroded and the situation gets into a new negative and worrying zone, especially in the human rights’ sector,’’ Cristina Lesnic said.

The official approached more individual cases, dealing with repressive measures, applied by the Transnistrian side against people who showed right to expression, infringing the right to labour of citizens from both banks of Dniester, right to health and free movement.

A special subject of the meeting was focused on the organization of the 2020-2021 school year, as well as the preparations of the education institutions for the education process in the conditions of the new reality caused by the pandemic, taking into account that more pupils study on the left bank of Dniester from villages from the right bank of this river and the movement restrictions imposed by Tiraspol are extended till 30 September 2020, without no certainty as to their cancellation.

In the emerged conditions and the lack of consensus in the Joint Control Commission on the subject of illegal posts, Chisinau insists on the continuation by the OSCE Mission of monitorings on the ground and prompt reaction to the situations which can escalate because of the degradation of the dialogue by Tiraspol unilaterally.

In the context, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic repeatedly stressed that the illegal posts were not sanitary posts and the preliminary evaluation of risks showed that these posts did not help the Chisinau-Tiraspol dialogue.
