Right to pension to be requested including by proxy in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 July /MOLDPRES/ - The right to pension will be able to be requested including by proxy. The parliament today adopted a draft law to this effect in two readings.   

Under the draft, the application on retirement and the needed acts will be submitted to the territorial social insurances body by the representative nominated by the applicant through proxy.  

The authors say that the necessity to approve the amendments results from many appeals by citizens, who, because of their health condition, cannot personally submit the application and the acts needed, in order to fulfill the right to pension. Numerous notifications to this effect have come from Moldovan citizens from abroad who, given the situation emerged because of the COVID-19 pandemic, cannot return to Moldova to fulfill their right to pension.   

Presently, the application on retirement and the necessary documents are submitted by the person who got right to pension to the territorial social insurances body from the place of residence.
