Over 30 articles of Moldova's Labour Code amended

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on promulgation and the law on the amendment of Moldova’s Labour Code will be published in the 31 July issue of Moldova’s Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial.

The amendments refer, in particular, to ensuring possibility to enforce flexible schedules of work and compensate additional working hours with free remunerated hours. This fact is to be provided for in the collective labour contracts at the unit or individual labour contracts.  

Also, the amendments stipulate the guaranteeing of maintaining the job and of the average salary on the period of periodical medical examinations, as well as exempting employees from the compulsoriness to present inadequate documents for the employer at the moment of employment.  

At the same time, the amendments propose ensuring the right of the unit’s head to transfer some days off to other days. As for the public authorities and institutions, this right is given to the government.  

The employee who is set to adopt a child will have right to ask for unpaid leave for a period of 90 days at the most.
