Universities to only operate online in first two weeks of new academic year

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/- At least the first two weeks of the 2020-2021 academic year, universities will carry out all activities online only. Minister of Education, Culture and Research Igor Sarov made the statement today.

"The University Senate will decide on the organization of educational process for the academic year 2020-2021, the university staff and students will be informed in advance on the matter", he said.

The educational process in pre-university institutions in Moldova will begin on 1 September and in universities education will be resumed gradually later than 1 September. Prime Minister Ion Chicu made the statement after the meeting late last week of the National Commission for Public Health.
