Presidential election period begins today

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/- The election period for the 1 November presidential election begins today.

The electoral period lasts 90 days and ends with the confirmation of the election results and validation of the mandate of President by the Constitutional Court.

The main actions during the election period are setting up and organizing the activity of lower electoral bodies, registering initiative groups and candidates for President, setting up and organizing polling stations, updating and publishing voter lists, informing voters and training election officials, monitoring elections and their impact on media, organizing voting, counting votes and summing up election results etc.
