Budget revision to be included on Moldovan parliament's agenda

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/- The draft law amending the State Budget Law for 2020 was examined today by Parliament's Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, and obtained the report for first reading.

Following the changes made in the state budget, revenues will decrease by 649.5 million lei to 37 201.5 million lei, and expenditures will decrease by 1,856.7 million lei to 53,200.9 million lei. Accordingly, the deficit will decrease by 1,207.2 million lei: from 17,206.6 million lei to 15,999.4 million lei, which is 7.8% of Gross Domestic Product.

The project was worked out by the Ministry of Finance. According to the authors of the project, all the reassessed parameters were agreed with the experts of the International Monetary Fund during the discussions on the new Government Program with the IMF.

The project is to be debated in parliament and will be the third amendment of the current year.
