Chisinau, 2 October /MOLDPRES/- The 2 October Official Journal published the government decision which amended 2016 government decision on some measures to prevent setting African swine fever. It is proposed to repeal the ban on the import from Ukraine of raw materials for feed, compound feed, complementary feed and complete feed.

"The lack of rainfall in the autumn-winter and early spring period, as well as the minimum reserve of productive moisture in soil layer led to the compromise of autumn sowing of 25% in the north and up to 60-100% - center and south.

Out of 303 thousand hectares of crops examined by the local special commissions, 259 thousand ha proved to be affected, thus significantly compromising the harvest of cereals from the first and second group, which serve as fodder base for the livestock sector ", information note of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment reads.

Given the urgent need to ensure the livestock sector and processing industry with feed raw materials, the provisions entered into force today, following the publication in the Official Journal.
