Third appeal for subsidizing rural development projects launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 10 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM) has launched the third appeal on submitting files of requesting the subsidy in advance for projects on rural development and improving the living and labour standards in the rural environment. The files can be submitted to the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA) till 27 January 2021.
Under the Regulation, approved through cabinet decision, subsidies will be provided for three support measures: improvement and development of the rural public economic infrastructure; restoration and development of the rural settlement; diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities.
For the measures 1 and 2, the value of the subsidy provided will account for 80 per cent of the overall value of the eligible investment, but will not exceed three million lei. For the measure 3, the value of the subsidy provided will account for 50 per cent of the value of the eligible investment, but will not exceed one million lei.
At the same time, for each aforementioned measure, the annual financial allocation from the national fund of agriculture and rural environment development amounts to up to 5 per cent.
For the projects to be eligible, they must be implemented in a rural settlement; the applicant for subsidies should have a spending sheet of the works and/or the services seen and the duration of project’s implementation should not exceed 24 months.
The following units are eligible for getting subsidies in advance: the first-level administrative and territorial units (villages and communes, as well as towns with a population of up to 10,000 residents with status of resident, according to the last population and housing census) for the measures 1 and 2 and the legal entities or private people registered in rural settlements who launch or develop non-agricultural activities for the measure 3.
