Under the decision, the Finance Ministry will allocate, from the government’s intervention fund, 59,730 thousand lei (equivalent to 275 million Russian roubles) to the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM), in order to partially compensate the damage inflicted by the 2020 year drought to the maize crop and preparing the soil for the 2021 year harvest.

The Agriculture Ministry, through the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), will distribute the financial assistance, in line with the provisions of the regulation approved.
