Customs Service reported increases in revenue in November

Chisinau, 1 December /MOLDPRES/- The revenues of the Customs Service in November 2020 are estimated at over 2.1 billion lei, up by 94 million lei (about 5%) compared to the same month last year. At the same time, in the first 11 months of this year, the Customs Service collected over 20.1 billion lei from the state budget.

According to the institution, 47,995 customs declarations were made in November, and the flow of means of transport was 146,058 crossings. The busiest customs posts remain Leușeni and Giurgiulești, with 40,399 and 27,212 crossings, respectively.

At the same time, 292 violations of the customs legislation were found, 142 reports being drawn up on contravention and fines worth over 450 thousand lei.

"The most common violations refer to the non-declaration or inauthentic declaration of consumer goods, violation of the terms of transit or submission of the customs declaration and exceeding the deadline for cars entering Moldova," said the Customs Service.
