Chisinau city hall to have budget deficit in 2021

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau budget will have a deficit of one billion lei in 2021.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said at today's online meeting of municipal services that the budget for next year of Chisinau city hall will have a deficit of over one billion lei. "The deficit is due to the projects we will implement, the purchase of buses and the extension of two streets," he said.

At the same time, the mayor said he was confident in the municipality's ability to cover this deficit next year. "Municipal taxes and other activities we have, will make it possible to cover this deficit," he said.

According to the mayor, over one hundred million lei will be charged from the new municipal fees to the municipal budget.
