Personal painting exhibition by Moldovan fine artist inaugurated at National Art Museum

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - A personal painting exhibition by fine artist, laureate of National Prize Tudor Zbarnea was inaugurated at the National Art Museum of Moldova today.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Tudor Zbarnea said that this was his first exhibition at the institution he leads and the 39th one in his entire career. The exhibition comprises 40 works made on the period 2013-2020.   

The deputy head of the Moldovan Fine Artists’ Union, Florina Breazu, said that the subjects from the author’s painting told us about the mankind’s essences and origins, fit into a language which relates to the most recent forms of fine art expression. The artist manages to unite the poles, the beginning and the present, highlighting the foremost unity, the endless cycle or the time and universality.    

Tudor Zbarnea was born in the Nisporeni town on 29 December 1955. He graduated from the I. Repin Republican School of Fine Arts from Chisinau and the George Enescu National Arts University from Iasi, Romania, Fine Arts Faculty, painting section, the class of professor Corneliu Ionescu. In 2009, Zbarnea was awarded the honorific title of Master in Art and in 2014 – the National Prize of Moldova. In 2017, Tudor Zbarnea was elected member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine and in 2018 – member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts from Salzburg, Austria. He participated in more than 300 representative exhibitions in Moldova and abroad.    

The exhibition will be open till 17 January 2021.
